Known simply as “Miletička”, this bustling market has been a favourite of locals for decades. Open all year, it’s a place where farmers from across Slovakia sell their produce directly, where small vendors offer everything from honey and pickles to socks and household goods, and where the smell of fresh langoš and grilled sausages fills the air.

The market is large, always busy and wonderfully unpolished — exactly the place to experience Bratislava without filters.

Our Tip

The best time to visit is Saturday morning when the market is at its liveliest and produce is most abundant. If you’re here between May and September, try freshly picked berries or apricots — they’re often brought in the same morning.
